About Kingaroy Quarry Supplies
Located in Kingaroy, Wattlegrove Quarry has been providing the South Burnett region with quality natural rock, sand, soil, and construction materials for over 20 years. Since taking over the management of the quarry in 2020, Kingaroy Quarry Supplies has continued to grow our product range and diversify our services—all while maintaining an extremely high standard of personal, tailored customer service.
The Quarry, initially under the stewardship of Keith and Linda Crawford as Crawford Sand & Gravel Supplies. In 2020, Keith and Linda handed the baton to Liam Pickering and his team at KQS to carry on providing premium quarry supplies and excellent customer service.
Our dedicated team is committed to ensuring our clients receive only premium materials and a value service.

KQS is now a preferred supplier to the South Burnett Regional Council and is Transport & Main Roads accredited for their type 3 roadbases. KQS also offers thermal sand, river sand, bedding sand, crusher dust, garden soil, trough mix, pre-mix, hardwood chip, roadbase, aggregates and much more. KQS has also recently commenced contract crushing and screening projects in regional Queensland.

Quality control is incredibly important, and that’s why we can provide laboratory test results as required. We are also certified with the Queensland Government Department of Transport and Main Roads, meaning we can provide roadbase and other aggregates for use in public works.

Our Director Liam was born in Bundaberg and his family moved to Kingaroy when Liam was in primary school. He completed school in Kingaroy and landed himself an apprenticeship with Herfords Butchery in Kingaroy. After completing his apprenticeship he moved to Broome to start his quarry career where he worked in various iron ore, coal and diamond mines. He moved back to Queensland after the 2011 floods and successfully managed various mobile crushing and screening sites along the east coast of Queensland to assist with rebuilding the roads.
Liam returned home to Kingaroy in 2020 after winning some major contracts with his civil construction company - L&J Industries. Liam was approached by Keith and Linda Crawford to take over the management of their 25+ year old sand, soil and gravel quarry in mid 2020. Together with a dedicated team, Liam took over the management of the Wattlegrove Quarry and Kingaroy Quarry Supplies has grown from strength to strength during the past 2 years, consistently providing premium products to the South Burnett Region!
In his downtime, Liam enjoys spending time with his family, fishing and riding motor bikes.
